Round table meeting during a certified trade mission

How it works

A Certified Program, Run Step by Step

Certified Trade Missions are planned, organized, recruited and led by approved groups and hosted by U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Service offices overseas. TradeMissions.org is the mission organizer.

The process

Five steps from application to follow up

  1. Step 1

    Apply

Submit information about the fund, company or investor organization and the mission you are considering.

  2. Step 2

    Qualification

TradeMissions.org reviews eligibility and fit for the selected mission. Not every applicant is accepted.

  3. Step 3

    Preparation

Approved delegates receive mission information, meeting preparation and relevant logistical details. A digital list of confirmed LPs is provided a week in advance of each mission.

  4. Step 4

    Participate

Delegates join round tables, briefings and one-on-one meetings of approximately twenty minutes with investment professionals.

  5. Step 5

    Follow Up

Participants continue conversations with relevant investors and partners after the mission.

Meeting format

Round tables and one-on-one meetings

Delegates join round tables, briefings and one-on-one meetings of approximately twenty minutes with investment professionals. Delegates may have up to 120 one-on-one meetings across a mission program, and on alternative asset missions one-to-one meetings are arranged with between thirty and fifty pre-qualified LPs per fund manager.

A digital list of confirmed LPs is provided a week in advance of each mission. There are never any placement agency fees or commissions on a Trade Mission, and no investment or fundraising outcome is promised or guaranteed.
